Rusty currently holds a Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU) degree and a Certified Financial Planner’s (CFP) designation.

He has been in the insurance and investment business for 39 years.  During the first 17 years, he worked for one company in Saskatchewan and Manitoba in positions from Agent, Sales Manager, Branch Manager and Director of Agencies, to Vice-President Marketing.

In 1989, he and his wife moved to Kelowna where he worked with Pemberton Securities/ RBC Dominion Securities as a Stock Broker/Financial Advisor. 

He then joined Great-West Life in 1990 as a Sales Manager handling, recruiting, hiring and training agents.  After retiring from that position in 1997 he began working full-time for his own clients as a Financial Advisor.

He is a volunteer at heart - he is the past-president of the Kelowna Newcomers Club, the North Okanagan Chapter of the Canadian Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors and the Kelowna Capri Rotary Club.  He was Chairman of the Central Okanagan United Way Leadership Giving Campaign for 1999/2000 and he is a life member of the Kelowna and District Fish and Game Club.

He has a great family including his wife Beverly, 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. When he is not in the office he can be found, skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, motor-homing, traveling and family activities.
